Dr Judith Feldsien BVMS MVSc MANZCVS Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons - Small Animal

Dr. Feldsien is the founder and owner of Synergy Veterinary Specialists. With more than 20 years of veterinary experience, working as a general practictioner, anesthesiologist and a surgeon in large University and Referral Hospitals she realized the benefits of a more direct relationship between Surgeon and Primary Care Veterinarian.

A native of Australia, Dr. Feldsien obtained her Veterinary Degree from Murdoch University in 1997. From the very beginning of her career Dr. Feldsien knew she wanted to be a surgeon, however felt it was important to understand the bigger picture. Her journey began in small animal primary care practice in Australia and the United Kingdom.

In 2002 Dr. Feldsien returned to academia for a rotating Small Animal Internship at the University of Melbourne. She went on to specialty training as an Anesthesia Resident while also completing her Masters of Veterinary Science, helping to develop a surgically implanted device designed for people with heart failure.

Dr. Feldsien completed her Surgical Residency at the University of Minnesota in 2009 and became board certified in Small Animal Surgery in 2010 after passing a rigorous examination process. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Feldsien worked as a Small Animal Surgeon in a multispecialty hopsital in New York.  During her time there she was named in the Best of Westchester and also on the Morris Animal Foundation Honor Roll for her service and dedication.

In 2012 Dr. Feldsien moved back to Minnesota. Since this time she has worked at several large referral hospitals in Minnesota and Hawaii and also spent three months at the University of Florida as the Charlie Bild VIP Chair working with the surgical oncology team.

Dr. Feldsien has presented at local and international conferences and seminars on a wide variety of topics ranging from heart assist devices to orthopedics, minimally invasive options, anesthesia and pain management.

It is with passion that Dr. Feldsien founded Synergy Veterinary Specialists PLLC. Working closely with primary care doctors she provides outpatient soft tissue, orthopedic and oncologic surgical procedures. She enjoys all aspects of Small Animal Surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Feldsien enjoys water sports, snowboarding, swimming and hiking. She has become a Minnesota Twins fan and loves being outside and active with her husband, son and their Great Dane, Bruce.
